Meet Tony Black
Serial Entrepreneur Tony Black, originally from Oklahoma, got his start in LA working as an assistant to the cast of the Oscar winning film "Crash" From there signed with Innovative Artists and Wilhelmina where he has maintained a stable acting and modeling career. Black also owns the film rights to several books, two of which have been developed for film and television. "Operation Broken Reed" which is based on the true story of the black op mission during the Korean War that averted WWIII and "Zebra" which is based on the murders that took place in San Francisco in the early 70's and the first black cops promoted to detectives within the SFPD, to help solve the murders.
In 2014, Black partnered with Chef Antonio Mure to create the Venice local gem "Barrique Venice" which serves fine dining quality food and wine, in a peaceful casual dining atmosphere. In 2021, Black and Mure revived the old west side favorite "Piccolo" with two locations, Piccolo Santa Monica and Piccolo Venice.
During the pandemic of 2020, Black also built a tech company "Whoolias" which is a dual sided marketplace in the gig economy, connecting photographers and videographers on-demand to brands, SMB's and everyday people that are in need of photography.
